I originally launched dvinewrites communications as ‘dvinewrites’ in 2004 as a website geared toward wine. Having graduated university and returned home from working abroad, I was on a quest to meld a longstanding interest in wine with my desire to create a platform upon which I could share my musings and new-found knowledge (and inevitably land myself a career in the wine industry itself).
It eventually did, and I enjoyed more than six years of success working in the field of wine sales and marketing.
There was still something more I wanted to do with dvinewrites communications though, and when I chose to leave the industry – I ultimately fell into working with past clients (to whom I’d sold wine) who requested assistance with Public Relations projects, events, press release development and more.
Around this time, I also began to take on other freelance work and contributed to online magazines in need of copy and advertorial writing. I did a lot of contract based work for a few major publications, and loved it.
So dvinewrites communications as it is today was born out of a fusion of interests that ultimately came together. I’ve slowly built and added to my repertoire of skills – bringing a beneficial array of experience to my current clients table as a result.
