These next several weeks are going to be crazy for Vancouver as we are set to welcome the world for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games!

Several of my clients are gearing up to partake in the celebration and 10AM-2AM visitor traffic that is bound to be generated as many locales are planning to open earlier and are permitted to lengthen their hours… I hope this town is ready for it!

Gastown is a-buzz with activity, and it’s great to see different country colours, flags, athletes and spectators out exploring the cobblestone streets.

LYNNsteven welcomes the world to shop during 2010 Olympics

LYNNsteven boutique has already seen an influx of global shoppers… Though we kicked things off with a  well-attended ‘pre-Olympic launch party’ (check out their ShopTalk blog for details and pics of the event I organized)… I will say this: I have a new found respect for professional event planners (thank you to the girls of Kai Events for lending a hand evening-of!)

Previous to this event I organized a last minute Haiti fundraiser for Regional Tasting Lounge (r.tl) in Yaletown.  With less than a week to work with – we managed to create a profitable event raising funds for Rose Charities Organization complete with a fabulous silent auction, original photo display and personal travel stories shared by photojournalist and writer Tallulah Tallulah and Roberta Staley.

All told: $8,000.00 was raised for Rose Charities to help send much needed medical staff and supplies to Haiti.
